This is because combi boilers heat water as you call for it by turning on a tap or a shower. So there is no need to store hot water in a cylinder. Because the water comes straight from the mains you don’t need to re-pressurise your water supply by drawing it from a tank in the loft, either. So you’re saving even more space.
