Why Potterton?

Potterton have an amazing track record of reliability within the boiler industry, they benefit from over 150 years of industry engineering excellence offering highly efficient and affordable boilers.

There are three types of boilers on offer within the Potterton Gold Boilers  series, Combi, System and Regular (Heat Only). The Combi boilers include Natural Gas models and an LPG model, and the System and Regular boilers only come in Natural Gas models.

Potterton Gold Combi Boilers

Combination boiler systems are growing ever more popular in today’s homes as there able to combine the dual functionality of heating your property and generating hot water from the one boiler unit. With no need for a hot water cylinder, cold water storage cistern or an expansion cistern this gives you a lot more useable space in your home.
The Combi boiler models come in three power outputs for natural gas and one for the LPG model, these are:

The Key Features and Benefits:

• 2 year parts and labour warranty goes much further than just a guarantee.
• A built-in pressure gauge allows for accurate central heating pressures, and makes for faster and more accurate commissioning of the system.
• Quality components, rigorous quality testing.
• Available in a variety of outputs, it’s suitable for most homes.
• The Potterton Gold Combi HE A comes supplied with a one piece pre-plumbing jig to give accurate alignment and allow first fix of system pipework (even without the boiler).
• Extensive flue options of up to 20 metres give greater fitting flexibility, while a filling loop (fitted as standard) allows for easier installation.
• A reliable and proven Grundfos pump means greater comfort and significantly less maintenance.

Potterton Gold Regular (Heat Only) Boilers

A regular boiler system generates the heat for your central heating system directly but the hot water that is produced is stored in a hot water cylinder until it is needed.

This stored supply of hot water is then drawn upon when hot water is required in the water outlets such as your kitchen and bathrooms. A typical regular boiler system will include a boiler, heating controls, one hot water cylinder (often fed by a cold water storage cistern) and an expansion cistern.

The Regular boiler models come in three power outputs, these are:

The Key Features and Benefits:

• 2 year parts and labour warranty goes much further than just a guarantee.
• Rated SEDBUK (2005) Band A, it offers the very highest levels of efficiency.
• With a dry lift weight of 26kg, it’s easy to move and manoeuvre.
• Multi-directional flue options give solutions for on-site restrictions.
• At 66mm x 390mm x 280mm, the Potterton Gold H can fit within a kitchen wall unit.
• There’s no wiring between the pump and boiler, saving time and damage to surroundings.
• Full modulation automatically regulates output, helping lower fuel consumption.
• An Energy Saving Trust recommendation provides evidence of carbon saving and ‘best-in-class’ performance.

Potterton Gold System Boilers

A system boiler is similar in some ways to a regular boiler in that it provides the heat for your central heating system and produces hot water that is stored in a hot water cylinder until it is needed.

A feed and expansion cistern is not required with a system boiler as the hot water is pumped directly from the system boiler to the radiators and hot water cylinder. This helps to make the whole process more efficient and financially beneficial.

The System boiler models come in three power outputs, these are:

The Key Features and Benefits:

• 2 year parts and labour warranty goes much further than just a guarantee.
• Extensive flue options also give you and homeowner’s greater siting choice and flexibility.
• An integral system bypass means you don’t need to spend precious time ensuring adequate heat loss.
• A built in frost thermostat helps protect the boiler from freezing and damage, as well as opening up new site possibilities, such as in a garage or utility room.
• A one piece pre-plumbing jig allows for quicker and easier installation, saving both time and installation costs.
