The Energy Related Directive, commonly known as the ErP Directive, comes into place at the end of September in an effort to:
- reduce the total amount of energy used,
- decrease emissions and
- increase renewable sources by 20% each before 2020.
But what does this mean for the older models of Vaillant Boiler that were available previously?
There's no need to panic!
Customers and installers who choose to purchase (or have existing stock of) the non-ErP boiler models from Vaillant can still have these fitted and these will continue to remain a popular choice until stock is fully exhausted, but as of 28th September Vaillant will no longer be producing the non-ErP boilers.
Vaillant's new models are pretty much identical to the old models (barring the odd changes) and this means that if you shop around you can get a fantastic deal on a non-ErP Vaillant boilers .
Here at TDL Online we have an extensive supply of great value Vaillant combi boilers in stock and available at a fantastic low price, all with immediate dispatch.
Popular choices include:
- Vaillant Pro 24
- Vaillant Pro 28
- Vaillant Plus 824
- Vaillant Plus 831
- Vaillant Plus 837
- Vaillant Plus 937
So who is responsible for ensuring everything follows the new ErP Regulations?
The manufacturer (Vaillant in this case) will provide the energy labels for their products.
The job however ultimately lies with your installer to calculate the efficiency of your system and to complete a document called a ‘fiche’, which will provide the full efficiency figure for the boiler and rest of the system.
